About the tour
A unique journey that combines the World Nomad Games with the natural and cultural landmarks of Kyrgyzstan. Guests attend the opening ceremony and the competitions in national sports, watch horse games, ethno-shows and hunting with golden eagles, and travel around Lake Issyk-Kul. The tour runs from 30 August to 5 September 2026 along the route Bishkek - Cholpon-Ata - Karakol - Bokonbaevo - Bishkek.

Tour programme
Guests are met at the airport and checked into a hotel in Bishkek. The afternoon goes to Ala-Archa National Park, half an hour from the city, with a light trek along the river and among the spruce forests to adjust to the mountain air. Dinner follows back in the capital, with the first night in Bishkek.

The central day of the event: the opening ceremony of the World Nomad Games, with ethno-shows and national performances by teams from across the world. Afterwards there is time for a walk through Bishkek and a second night in the capital.

The group leaves the capital and stops at the Burana Tower, the minaret of the medieval city of Balasagun, before continuing to the northern shore of Issyk-Kul. After check-in at a hotel in Cholpon-Ata the rest of the day is free at the lake.

A day at the main venue of the Games on the Kyrchyn jailoo, the high pasture where the ethno-town is built from hundreds of yurts. The programme includes horse competitions, archery and a walk through the ethno-town with its crafts, food and music. In the evening the group transfers to Ak-Suu Gorge for the night on Issyk-Kul.

A city day in Karakol, the old Russian garrison town at the eastern end of the lake: a tour of the centre, the wooden Dungan Mosque built without nails and the Holy Trinity Cathedral. The afternoon is free, with an optional visit to the local hot springs. Night in Karakol.

The route crosses to the southern shore with stops at the Jeti-Oguz red rock formation, Barskoon Gorge and Fairy Tale Canyon with its wind-carved sandstone. Near Bokonbaevo local berkutchi give a golden eagle show, and the group stays overnight in a yurt camp with an evening around the campfire.

Breakfast at the yurt camp, then the drive back to Bishkek and a transfer to the airport, where the programme ends.
